VITAMIN D LEVELS - A recent study at the University of Kentucky found that low Vitamin D levels lead to brain damage

VITAMIN D LEVELS - A recent study at the University of Kentucky found that low Vitamin D levels lead to brain damage due to free radical oxidation. Most of us are already aware of the known benefits of adequate Vitamin D levels, such as:

Maintaining Bone Health
Muscle Strength
Preventing Psoriasis
Minimizing the severity of asthma attacks
Preventing Periodontal Disease
Preventing Cardiovascular Disease
Preventing Depression
Preventing Breast Cancer

Currently about 77% of the U.S. population is deficient in Vitamin D, but it was only 55% ten years ago. Vitamin D needs Co-Factors to be effective. These Co-Factors are: magnesium, vitamin K, vitamin A, zinc, and boron. Fortunately, all these Co-Factors can be found in green leafy vegetables.

Vitamin D is known as the 'Sunshine Vitamin' because it gets synthesized in our bodies when Cholesterol reacts with the energy from the sun. (That's right, Cholesterol is not only good for you, it is necessary to sustain life. Just don't let it harden as a result of over oxidation.)
