GOOD & BAD CHOLESTEROL - Cholesterol is an
antioxidant. Theoretically, you could supplement with HDL cholesterol
like you do with any other antioxidant. Unfortunately, the masses are so
brainwashed about the evils of cholesterol that they wouldn’t think of
buying it as a supplement.
HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) and LDL
(Low Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol contain the same molecule. The
only difference is the physical packing of the molecules, thus affecting
the density. Whatever your HDL cholesterol level, it should be higher.
HDL is also known as ‘the good cholesterol’.
Cholesterol is only a
problem when it actually hardens. This is what happens with LDL
cholesterol. In order to prevent cholesterol from hardening, simply
consume an antioxidant that is stronger than cholesterol. Red Heart
Algae is a stronger antioxidant than cholesterol. The same is true for
the standardized blend of antioxidants in the Metabolic Complete.
Plant
based Sterols compete with animal based Cholesterol during the
digestion process, thus lowering one’s cholesterol levels. What happens
is the two molecules are similar and the Sterols get absorbed while the
Cholesterol does not.
If you want to raise your HDL and lower
your LDL cholesterol levels, try: soluble oat fiber, vitamin B5 (found
in Brewer’s yeast), vitamin B3 (also known as Niacin), garlic, or virgin
olive oil.
