PESTICIDES IN THE FOODS THAT WE EAT & CANCER

PESTICIDES IN THE FOODS THAT WE EAT & CANCER - Based on data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, apples, strawberries, and grapes have the highest pesticide content when purchased in their nonorganic form. Avocados, sweet corn, and pineapples contain the least amount of pesticides in their nonorganic form. The main thing to remember here is to buy organic if the fruit or vegetable's skin is exposed to the elements or ground.

One green food that most cancer patients overlook is Brussel Sprouts. The sulforaphane in Brussel Sprouts is supposed to release tumor suppressing proteins and even repair DNA. Another green food, Parsley, contains flavonoids and volatile oils which may inhibit the growth of tumors and even neutralize certain cancer causing carcinogens.
