WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IONIC & COLLOIDAL SILVER? - We spend quite a bit of time explaining the difference between Ionic and Colloidal Silver. The distinction is quite important, yet a bit complicated for those without a science background. Simply stated, a Colloid is a stabilized suspension, meaning a solution where the suspended solids don't settle to the bottom. This would be the case for Colloidal Silver products. However there are many ways to stabilize silver particles so that they don't settle out, even though their particle size could be large. If the silver units were ionic, which is the smallest possible particle size, then you would have the absolutely most stable Colloidal solution with the highest surface area and therefore the highest activity. If the silver units were not ionic, but still colloidal, then the size of the units would be larger, have less surface area, and therefore less activity. Bottom line, you want your Colloidal Silver to be made with Ionized Silver particles for maximum effectiveness.
